Her grandmother's stroke recovery through acupuncture treatment inspired her learning in acupuncture. Her mission is to provide the body's own natural healing abilities to restore optimal health.

Ray graduated from medical school in China, where he had the opportunity to study and treat patients in hospitals with conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, sleep disorders, gynecology disorders, stroke, gastrointestinal disorders, upper respiratory disorders, emotional-related issues, urogenital conditions, chronic fatigue, circulatory, immune related and other stress-related problems.

I use holistic approach to bring my patients' health to the most optimal level through acupuncture, Chinese Herbal remedies, dietary and lifestyle changes, cupping, moxibustion and/or massage so that they can take control of their health themselves in the future.

I first discovered acupuncture while completing my pre-reqs with the intention of attending medical school at UW - I was struggling with migraines that Western Medicine was incapable of helping me with. An Acupuncturist was able to help me live a migraine free life what I couldn't have previously imagined was possible. I simply fell in love with the medicine and altered my course to pursue my Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Fast forward 14 years, I still love the medicine and am thrilled, on a daily basis, on how I am able to help people improve their lives with a natural, holistic approach to their health.

I love acupuncture because it is a simple yet profound technique that gets results. I love that it can bring relief to a myriad of patients from the 16 year old athlete with a sprained ankle to the 80 year old with osteoarthritis of the knee to the pregnant mother looking for morning sickness relief. I practice the gentle Japanese stye of acupuncture and I have trained in Tokyo, Japan in both 2006 and 2007. I have 15 years of experience in the field of acupuncture and I specialize in the treatment of chronic pain and injury rehabilitation, especially back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, and foot and ankle pain and headaches. I have also had great success in treating women's health issues, particularly PMS, cramping, infertility, prenatal care and menopause.

By work with the energy chang in nature, restore our body's healing power, correct and prevent inbalance of energy flow within is the main focus of my practice.

As a practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese medicine I use subtle information from the body to promote healing. I enjoy using visceral manipulation, cranial sacral, ashiatsu massage, cupping, and moxibustion to address musculoskeletal pain, psychoemotional issues such as insomnia and addiction, and improving digestion. I chose the name Joy Point Acupuncture, because good medicine should put people at ease and on a path towards well being.
