My ideal patient is one who is willing to be a co creator in their health process. I specialize in digestive disorders, immune issues, pain, hormonal issues and fatigue. I treat all ages. I use acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Ayurvedic dietary and lifestyle recommendations and muscle response testing to identify core imbalances as well as herbal and nutritional recommendations. I am an acupuncturist trained in China with over 27 years of clinical experience. I received my training in acupuncture and herbal medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. I received my PhD in neuroscience in US, did my post-doctorate training at Harvard/MGH and taught Acupuncture for over 20 years in Boston. Dr. K.Zhang holds a PhD degree from Fujian Medical University and a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) in Chinese acupuncture from New England School of Acupuncture (NESA), MCPHS and the pain program from Tufts University School of Medicine. Before coming to US, Dr. Zhang had practiced in China for years. He is a national Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, certified by NCCAOM, and is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine to practice acupuncture in the state. He is also a research scientist in Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).

I became interested in natural healing techniques a long time ago. Considering the potential side effects of medicines commonly prescribed, I thought it worthwhile to study alternative methods of healing. Initially, I trained in Shiatsu and Massage Therapy, I graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1984. My post-graduate studies involved extensive training in Chinese Herbal Medicine.

I began my career in China where I underwent formal Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine training and worked at Chongqing TCM Orthopedics Hospital for 10 years as OMD (Oriental Medical Doctor) and Acupuncturist. After I came to the US, I took the exam for the Acupuncture Board diploma and have served in New Hampshire as an acupuncturist since 2003.
