I have practiced acupuncture over 26 years and taught the students at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago for 5 years. I have been the health advisor for various live radio health programs for Seoul Radio Broadcasting and KBI Radio Station in Chicago for 9 years.

I treat patients with a wide variety of problems. I help people with all types of pain including back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, arthritis/ joint and headaches, to name some. I also work with stress relief, anxiety, depression, insomnia, digestive issues and the negative side-effects of chemotherapy. Acupuncture can be used for any imbalance in the body. The idea is to not only correct the symptoms/pain, but to heal the whole body by getting to the root of the problem. Richard Kim L.Ac has learned Eastern Medicine in L.A. and he studied more in Republic of Korea. And his one of the eastern medicine skills is a Chuna manipulation which is the treatment of pulling and pushing the muscle which balances your body by releasing the tensions in the muscle, ligament, disc, and vertebrae. After the Chuna manipulation, Richard Kim L.Ac helps the movement of the patient during acupuncture treatment in severe cases. This movement assistance during the acupuncture therapy eases the pain by releasing the muscles, and circulating blood very well.
