He practiced traditional and conventional medicine in China from 1985 to 2005 as a physician and professor at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He has practiced acupuncture in USA since 2005. He currently is a Professor and a clinical supervisor at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. His training includes 5 years of medical school, 3 years of residency, 7 years of postgraduate training in traditional and conventional medicine.

Dr. Hu, CMD, DAOM, Licensed Chief Chinese Medicine Doctor in China and Licensed Acupuncturist in USA, was also certified by National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in USA. Dr. Hu has about 30 years of experience in authentic Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture & Herbal tea customization; she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine -one of the four earliest established TCM universities in China. She also obtained doctor degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in USA.

With the extended experience from his father, while he has treated a numerous conditions such as chronic pains, Bell's palsy, post-stroke, migraine, allergies, digestive conditions, women's issues, and stress, his practice ultimately focuses on improving the overall well-being and health of the patient and thus quality of life, rather than just isolated treatment of specific symptoms.
