Ms. Ying Li is a National Board Certified Acupuncturist and has been practicing since 2001. Ms. Li earned her MD Degree from the Hunan Medical College of China ( formerly-Yale-in-China) and her Master's Degree in Molecular and Cellular Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the US. Prior to opening her acupuncture clinic, Ms. Li worked in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a research fellow focusing on retinal vascular lesion of diabetes and autoimmune diseases.

The focus of my practice is internal medicine, with a specialty in women's health. I use a combination of traditional acupuncture (to balance "vital energy") in conjunction with Western herbs and nutrition. I prefer Western herbs (vs. Chinese) for several reasons, not the least of which is quality control. I want to know exactly what I am dispensing to patients and at what dosage, therefore it is essential to provide pharmaceutical grade herbs and supplements.

I am Nationally Board certified in Oriental Medicine,Respiratory Care and Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I have worked in both acute hospital and outpatient cardiopulmonary rehab settings since 1991. I look forward to improving the health and wellness of my local community. I graduated from Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine and have trained at the Deng Feng Shaolin Traditional Kung Fu Academy Temple in August 2016.
