Yan Yan Yu, LAc graduated from Liao Ning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1982 and practiced at Acupuncture at Liao Ning University Hospital of Traditional Medicine before moving to the United States. While practicing as a physician at the municipal hospital in Shanghai, Dr. Wu was selected to work in many foreign countries based on his distinguished performance. Dr. Zhou is a licensed acupuncturist and neuroscientist, he received his MD from China and obtained his PhD in neuroscience from Japan. He had his resident training in Acupuncture, Orthopedics surgery and Neurology in China, he did postdoctoral research at the the Uni. of Texas. Dr. Zhou has worked in the field of brain research at New York Medical College, the Uni. of Pittsburgh, Columbia Uni, and Weill Cornell Medical College. His research interest is synaptic mechanisms, therapeutic solutions for neurologic diseases, pain, memory, and learning, possesses a strong publication record. I am a National Board Certified Acupuncturist, Herbalist, and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM) licensed by the state of New York and New Jersey. I have an extensive professional medical background in both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I provide complete holistic care including acupuncture, custom herbal medicine, nutrition therapy, moxibustion, Guasha, cupping, and massage therapy. My focus is to provide my patients with thorough, individualized, and comprehensive care. I will work with you together to help you recover and regain your energy and vitality.

I hold a Doctorate of Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College, Boulder Colorado . I am a Diplomat of Acupuncture, a Diplomat of Chinese Herbology, and a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (including Asian Bodywork Modalities, NCCAOM). My special interests include Internal Medicine, Women's Health, and patient education. I believe that treating each patient holistically involves extensive questioning, diverse treatment methods, and dedication from both patient and practitioner. I graduated from Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1987. Since then, I spent over 30 years treating people with all sorts of health problems using acupuncture and/or herb medicine. Early in my practice to prevent surgery, I even self-treated an abdominal egg-sized tumor with severe abdominal pain and constipation. The experience further enhanced my desire and confidence in sharing the power and healing potential of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture with all patients in need of healing and improving health.
