My medical career began at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). My studies included training in both Western and Traditional Chinese medicine. After completed my Acupuncture Master degree study in the post-graduate school of the University, I was assigned to an research position in Shanghai Research Institute of Acupuncture & Meridian. I worked there for 3 years in the field of study of Chinese Acupuncture Schools & Doctrine and attended Outpatient Clinic Center to treat patients at the same time.

She is currently on faculty at MUIH, Columbia, Md. She practices acupuncture with mentally ill in Baltimore City, and has a private practice in Columbia, Md.

I enjoy caring for the well-being of my patients. I have been cited twice in Washingtonian Magazine as "amongst one of the most highly regarded practitioners in his field." I have provided practical, holistic, integrative services in acupuncture, body therapy, life/wellness coaching, Chinese herbal medicine, and counseling since the 1980s. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Delaware in 1988, and a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from MUIH, formerly known as Tai Sophia Institute, in 2007. I have practiced nursing at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, King Edward Memorial Hospital in Bermuda, and at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Additionally, I was a research nurse with Johns Hopkins University, studying heart failure and cardiomyopathy. After completing a clinical internship at Tai Sophia Institute, I opened my private practice in 2007.

I have been the Director of the Outpatient Department in Haidian Hospital of Chinese Medicine, Beijing, China, and a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Chinese Medical Studies, Singapore.

In 2004, Beth Grubb Li received her Masters of Acupuncture degree at The Maryland University of Integrated Health in Maryland. She worked in private practice in Laurel for 14 years and currently has an office in Gaithersburg, Maryland and Germantown, Maryland. Beth is a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist through the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. Beth is also a member of the Maryland Acupuncture Society and a member of the National Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Alliance. Additionally, she is a Certified Animal Acupuncturist and enjoys treating people and pets.

I have been practicing medicine since 1986. I practiced and taught medicine in Hunan, China after training in Western and Traditional Chinese medicine for 8 years. I also worked in Chinese Medicine practices in Edmonton and Montreal, Canada and in Maryland. In 1997, I established my current practice.
