With experience learning in environments such as teaching hospitals in China, to the VA Hospital in New Haven, my education is steeped with both tradition and innovation. As an avid yoga practitioner and teacher, I have experienced first-hand how important the connection between body and mind can be. Acupuncture aids this connection in order to help your body better heal itself with minimally invasive techniques or side effects.
Acupuncture is the use of sterile, ultra-fine needles to stimulate specific points along the body in order to improve the free flow of ‘Qi.’ Qi can best be described as a biologic function pertaining to the body’s ability to self-regulate. Stimulating these points triggers the release of endorphins and other hormones to allow the body to heal.
It is my goal to work as a team to be able to get to the root of your issues and help examine contributing factors that may have previously been overlooked. While my passions include helping patients better their mental health and aiding with fertility support, I also have had success in treating generalized pain, digestive issues, headaches and fatigue.
