About
I feel very fortunate to have found my career calling in such an amazing and powerful medicine. I began my health studies with an undergraduate psychology degree from Brown University. While in college, I became exposed to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and was immediately drawn to its ability to not only treat the body, but the mind and spirit as well. I completed a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin, TX. I was even lucky enough to complete an internship in China at the Chengdu University of TCM.
I specialize in the treatment of pain and emotional and stress-related disorders such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, headaches, IBS, acid reflux, addiction, emotional eating, and sexual dysfunction. However, I have experience treating a wide range of disorders and can treat anything from the common cold to chemotherapy side effects.
I often stress to my patients the importance of taking Chinese herbs in conjunction with acupuncture. In many cases, herbs may actually be the most important aspect of the treatment. I enjoy working with clients to determine their best pathway to health and well-being.
