Tybee Marruzzi is a Cohasset-based acupuncturist who has provided high-quality care on Boston's South Shore for over 20 years. She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine, and board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in both acupuncture and Chinese herbology. She has a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science located in San Diego.

I currently have a New Hampshire license in Acupuncture. I began my career in China where I underwent formal Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine training and worked at Chongqing TCM Orthopedics Hospital for 10 years as OMD (Oriental Medical Doctor) and Acupuncturist. After I came to the US, I took the exam for the Acupuncture Board diploma and have served in New Hampshire as an acupuncturist since 2003.

Robert has expertise in both traditional acupuncture and Japanese non-insertive styles. Non-insertive styles are especially gentle methods that re-balance the body without breaking the skin. Appropriate for all patients, non-insertive techniques are particularly effective for children and older patients, those weakened by chronic conditions, and of course a wonderful option for patients uncomfortable with needles.

I am still amazed at the broad range of health issues that acupuncture can treat successfully.I have been in practice since 2003 and the top four issues that seem to show up at my office time and time again are migraine headache, anxiety, allergies and issues relating to female reproduction which include menstrual, menopausal and fertility health. What sets acupuncture apart from other forms of medicine is that it seeks to address the underlying cause of illness. This approach is restorative to health bringing balance to body, mind and spirit.

I came into the practice of Chinese Medicine as a patient twenty seven years ago. I am in my 25th year as a licensed Acupuncturist. I see many patients with pain and orthopedic related problems as well as chronic and debilitating illnesses such as cancer, MS, irritable bowel, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and mental health issues. I am also on staff at the MGH Cancer Center. While I do not treat cancer directly, I work to help with immune support and stress reduction, to support the whole person in body and mind as they go through cancer treatment.
