East Asian medicine is part of a complete medical system originating in China and has been practiced for over 2,000 years. It addresses physical complaints in the context of the whole person. I provide a unique approach to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment combining East Asian medicine with modern hands-on assessment methods. These "listening" techniques allow me to provide highly-personalized and supportive treatments, addressing disharmonies that have become patterned in the fascia, connective tissue, muscles, and nerves, as well as the cranial rhythm and energetic/qi system.
Treatments may involve cranial work, gentle non-insertive acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, and other adjunctive modalities to address health imbalances and support mind-body healing. I also prescribe and dispense Chinese herbal medicine (raw, granule, and pills) for disorders that need daily attention.
