Hello, My name is Yoonyoung and I am a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture is based on the idea that a patient’s pain or illness is caused by interruption to the flow of Qi (one’s life energy) in the body. Acupuncture identifies the specific points on the body that corresponds to the condition (acupuncture points) and uses special needles to stimulate those points so that the patient can regain the healthy flow of Qi. As a Chinese medicine practitioner, I view any illness in the context of the whole person. My treatment goes beyond the obvious symptom to the root cause of the illness.

Generally, results are experienced by then. At that time we will re-evaluate and determine which course of action is best.

I often prescribe Chinese herbs to address acute and chronic patterns. Modalities are selected based on your sensitivities and needs, as well as the levels we choose to address in treatment.
