I am a NY State Licensed Acupuncturist & NCCAOM Board Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture & Chinese Herbology with convenient practice locations in Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York. My goal is to work synergistically with patients in their healing process while educating them in health awareness. I educate patients on how stress, emotions, nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle factors affect their health and well being. This approach allows my patients to take greater control and responsibility over their health, ultimately leading to healthier and happier lives-physically, emotionally & spiritually.

I hold a Doctorate of Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College, Boulder Colorado . I am a Diplomat of Acupuncture, a Diplomat of Chinese Herbology, and a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (including Asian Bodywork Modalities, NCCAOM). My special interests include Internal Medicine, Women's Health, and patient education. I believe that treating each patient holistically involves extensive questioning, diverse treatment methods, and dedication from both patient and practitioner. Each treatment not only involves acupuncture but an array of other techniques that allow each patient to reach optimal health.

Dr.Frank Zhao is an Acupuncture expert who has been practicing for over 40 years. He graduated from Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and obtained his MD in TCM in 1984. He obtained his MD & Ph.D. in Neurology and Neurologic Science from Tokyo Medical and Dental University. He was the director of the Acupuncture Dept. in China, a Research Fellow in the field of Herb and Acupuncture at Harvard Medical School. He is Vice Chairman of the World Manipulative Medical Association, Professor of New York College of Health Professions, Board Member of United Alliance of NYS Licensed Acupuncturists.

Our office provide a unique, alternative approach to holistic healing. We use bio-energy screening tests to detect disorders. We use and teach healing based on the primary holistic schools.

I am a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac), and a Certified Herbal Specialist, who had followed my family's medical tradition. My father is a Neurologist who successfully integrated Chinese Medicine into his primary practice. I also had the honor of training with Dr. Jeffrey Yuen, the 88th generation Taoist Priest, an expert in School of Classical Chinese Medicine, also called "Extraordinary Vessels". This ancient yet relevant and sophisticated system addresses patient's maladies with a personalized approach .This allows not only to get the best results, but caters to any special needs of the patient.

My practice encompasses a variety of styles, including acupuncture, acupressure, moxabustion, cupping, guasha, e-stim, and dietary recommendations. I strongly believe in aiding patients to transform their lives by implementing dietary changes, herbal supplements and stress management techniques. In conjunction with acupuncture these modalities can have a life altering effect on one's body and mind. I am also at the leading edge of current cosmetic procedures.
