In our clinic: 1) Examine patients' pulses and analyze patients' maladies through traditional oriental medicine 2) Combine patients' medical history and examination results to determine course of treatment for patients 3) Provide acupuncture treatment, when necessary, with Cupping, Gua Sa, Moxibustion, Auricular seed, Manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and nutritional assessment 4) Prescribe herbal/dietary remedies as appropriate for patients' symptoms

Dr. Xie (Dr. J) is a national board certified acupuncturist and herbalist (NCCAOM Diplomate of Oriental Medicine). Dr. J is a licensed acupuncturist in Illinois and Wisconsin. He practiced traditional and conventional medicine in China from 1985 to 2005 as a physician and professor at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He has practiced acupuncture in USA since 2005. He currently is a Professor and a clinical supervisor at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. His training includes 5 years of medical school, 3 years of residency, 7 years of postgraduate training in traditional and conventional medicine.

My primary goal is to provide our patients with a broader understanding of health and a more lasting sense of well-being. Instead of the traditional disease-centered focus of conventional medicine, Naturopathy and Traditional Chinese Medicine apply a patient-centered approach that addresses the whole person rather than simply his symptoms.We combine the discipline of modern science with the wisdom of ancient healing and take advantage of the knowledge of several disciplines including acupuncture,Chinese herbal medicine, dietary therapy, healing touch, TuiNa therapy, psychology, Traditional Chinese Medicine and more.
