Dr. Ma is a Maryland-licensed acupuncturist with a strong foundation in both traditional and modern medicine. She earned her medical degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1998, followed by a master’s degree in Oncology and a Ph.D. in Genetics from Peking Union Medical College.
Dr. Ma later conducted postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University combining deep scientific knowledge with the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine.
Dr. Ma has diverse experience in research on environmental and human disease. The goal of Dr. Ma was to maintain the body’s harmonious balance both internally and in relation to the external environment; she has been particularly interested in issues related to women’s health, fertility, pain management, postoperative fatigue and emotion health.
