Miami Acupuncture & Classical Herbs was founded in 1994 by Dr. Carolyn Cook, an experienced practitioner with over 20 years of experience as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture Physician, and Licensed Massage Therapist. Dr. Cook is committed to an integrative approach to health, drawing on the rich wisdom of Classical Chinese medicine to address her patients’ individual needs. Her approach emphasizes the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit, and seeks to promote balance and harmony in all aspects of life.
Acupuncture’s purpose is to restore the body’s natural energy flow. In the same fashion, traditional Classical Chinese herbal medicine supports and compliments the art and science of Classical acupuncture.
Our original mission was to rehab patients after injury or surgery. Massage and acupuncture were used to assist the healing. With continued training, the ancient practice of classical herbal medicine was incorporated. Patients began moving from superficial issues and deeper internal issues, ultimately healing other areas and more problems than they presented with.
