"My strength as a practitioner is finding the root of someone's illness or blockage, which may or may not coincide with where the symptoms are manifesting. Many of my patients come to me after going through the gamut of practitioners, both Western and Alternative, and I can usually get to the root of the problem pretty quickly. Illness, pathology and injury may exist on the physical level, but depending on what's going on energetically, the course of treatment may also have to include treating the emotional and spiritual levels as well."

"I first became interested in healing through macrobiotics. As a teenager, a good friend's mother had cancer and I watched as she cured herself solely by changing to a macrobiotic diet and lifestyle. This made a deep impression and catalyzed a strong conviction that given the right environment, the body/mind can create homeostasis. I healed myself from Meniere's disease and migraines through altering my diet and practicing yoga. I know the dedication it takes to change, but also know that it is possible. I have been fortunate to be able to use Acupuncture as a way to guide others towards this shift."

I bring to my practice extensive knowledge of the body gained from my training as a physician and Ob/Gyn in China, and through my 18 years as an practicing acupuncturist. If you're looking for Cantonese health professional in New York or for a New York Cantonese health professional these professionals provide health professional services that's sensitive to Cantonese cultural issues. They include Cantonese health professionals and Cantonese speaking health professionals.

Acupuncture in New York - is it right for me?
Acupuncture is based on the concepts of oriental medicine or traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. New York acupuncturists are health care professionals who evaluate and treat the many conditions, aches and pains that respond to acupuncture.

Acupuncturists insert very fine acupuncture needles into the body. The purpose of the needles is to stimulate acupuncture points or meridians. The needles do not inject any substance into your body and are so fine as to be virtually impossible to feel. In some cases, acupuncture may be accompanied by electrical stimulation or the burning of moxa, a form of heat therapy. Or use acupressure, where physical pressure is applied by hand or elbow to trigger points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians.

'Accupuncture' and 'Accupuncturist' are common mis-spellings.
