The main objectives of acupuncture treatment are relieving pain and other symptoms, strengthening the immune system, and balancing, harmonizing and integrating the functions of the internal organs with each other, making for a unified, healthy person, rather than a collection of fragmented, disharmonious parts. Oriental Medicine addresses and seeks to find the root or the cause of the problem rather than just merely treating the manifestations of various symptoms. Acupuncture increases the blood circulation to the area where the fine tiny needles are inserted. With increased circulation of blood the muscles relax, and they become tightened.

I have been in Chinese Medical Practice since 1986 after graduating from California Acupuncture College. I then enrolled in the Doctorate program at Samra Univ. of Oriental Medicine and received my credential in August 1988. I was licensed by the NCAA until 2007 and participated in their testing & licensing program. In 1996, I had the pleasure of being part of a group to study acupuncture in a hospital setting at the XiYuan Hospital of PRC and attend the 2nd International Symposium on Medical Qi Gong. The group was present for the opening ceremonies of the first government sponsored Medical Qi Gong Academy where we also underwent a rigorous course of training. In January 2006 I completed the Acupuncture Orthopedics course given by Lerner Education and received my credential to become a Diplomate of Acupuncture Orthopedics (NBAO).

My goal is to help people get well naturally and avoid unnecessary drugs and surgery. I spend more time listening and talking to my patients than other doctors so I can focus on the root of their ailments. This helps me to address the patient's physical health and their mental health. I also encourage patients to make positive lifestyle changes to attain better treatment results. Over 85% of my patients have experienced improved conditions or have completely healed after herbal medicine and acupuncture treatments.

Many of my patients have sports injuries, occupational conditions, auto related injuries, stress related disorders, mental and emotional issues and psychosomatic conditions.
