I started my acupuncture practice in 1998 after attending acupuncture school in Santa Fe, NM. Since then I have been following Dr. Huo's teachings of qigong, acupuncture and herbs. My own experience with sciatica and the frustration of dealing with that pain has given me great respect for how pain hinders even the basic activities of daily living.
Dealing with pain from an injury or trauma is hard enough. But when you are also not able to perform simple chores at home or play with your child without pain, then frustration and anxiety can set in. The loss of independence, having to ask for a ride to the store, or help with everyday matters leads to further tension and anger.
