I am a Diplomat of Acupuncture which is a Certified Diplomat by NCCAOM ( National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine ). Additionally, I am a NYS Licensed Acupuncturist and NCCAOM board certified acupuncturist as well as a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist. As a result, Karen has a strong theoretical and philosophical foundation of how to treat each patient with skill, compassion and care.

With her solid education background and clinical experience, she has provided her patients a high quality of acupuncture treatment and patient centered care. He graduated from Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1984 and served as Physician, Attending Physician, and Director of the Acupuncture Department at Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People’s Hospital for 11 years. In 1995, he received the Sino-Japanese Sasakawa Medical Scholarship to study rehabilitation medicine in Japan. Later, he earned an MD and Ph.D. in Neurology and Neuroscience from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2022. Dr. Zhao also served as a Research Fellow in Herbology and Acupuncture at Harvard Medical School for 4 years.
