Laureen Macintosh, RAc, DTCM, Acupuncturist in Calgary
Are you ready to feel your best? Traditional Chinese Medicine is a complete medical system focused on preventing disease and healing when needed. Acupuncture, massage, and herbal medicine are all tools to use in maintaining wellness. Everyone has unique health goals and I am dedicated to helping all my clients achieve their goals.
Research shows that stress is a key component in most diseases and problems affecting our health. My practice focuses on helping people deal with the mental and physical symptoms of stress (fatigue, insomnia, headaches, pain, tight muscles, digestive upsets, irregular periods, irritability, anxiety, depression) and supporting their goals to achieve a healthier life balance.
In addition to my Traditional Chinese Medicine training I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a Diploma in Massage Therapy. This grounding in anatomy & the musculoskeletal system gives me a unique perspective on muscle aches and pains including back, shoulder & neck issues. Acupuncture is an effective treatment for pain and injuries.
