A native of China, Dr. Lu is widely recognized as an exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced senior practitioner in the arts of acupuncture, herbal medicine and Chinese tuina massage for two decades. Formally educated and trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, both in China and the U.S., and with 20 years of teaching, research, and clinical experience in those two countries, Dr. Lu has helped thousands of patients to achieve their goals of living healthy and happier lives.

I am happy to support your primary care needs in addition to gynecological health concerns. I primarily treat chronic pain and musculoskeletal injuries. My belief is that these are often multi-faceted. Injuries can ultimately be a result of structural or movement imbalances that go beyond a simple slip and fall. Pain itself can have multiple causes; there are different "types" of pain. I practice an intuitive art form rooted in scientific knowledge. Traditional medicine does not specialize in treating the myofascial restrictions that may be involved in chronic pain conditions or structural dysfunction. The tried and true techniques of deep tissue massage and myofascial release aim to restore the normal functioning of fascia by breaking up the glue that binds these adhesions. I do this by applying slow, sustained pressure, gradually working up to the threshold of what you can tolerate.

I love helping my clients achieve their ideal weight and manage any chronic health conditions. Nutrition is not one-size-fits-all, so I really spend the time getting to know my clients and offer a personalized plan that will work for you.
