I have been extensively trained at undergraduate and graduate levels in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and modern science. I have been active in many TCM research projects; among them are the acupuncture on osteoarthritis, and infertility. I have held various faculty/researcher positions at many academic institutes including, Shanghai University of TCM, Maryland Institute of TCM, Johns Hopkins Medical School, and currently, the University of Maryland School of Medicine. I am a contributing author to two books on TCM. In addition, I have also authored many papers published on peer-reviewed professional journals.

Victoria Goldsten has been caring for the sick since 1973. Her first health care experience was in nursing at several local hospitals and health care facilities. She later studied and became certified in: Homeopathy, Reiki, Lymphatic Drainage, Chakra Balancing, Acupressure, and Hypnotherapy. She has a B.S. degree in Nursing and a Doctorate degree in Homeopathy. She is currently practicing as an Integrative Homeopath and Massage Therapist in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She is Licensed in Nursing and Massage by the State of Maryland and Washington, D.C. She is currently working as the Director and a practitioner at the Washington Institute.

I believe in giving each patient my individual, full attention. Treatment sessions are generally 30 to 40 minutes, with a focus on restoring muscle and joint function and eliminating pain. Treatments usually include gentle deep muscle work, manual manipulative therapy, Pilates based rehabilitative exercise, and other physical therapies. I have great success in treating chronic myofascial pain (fibromyalgia), migraine headaches, numbness and tingling in the hands and feet (peripheral neuropathy), foot pain, and especially the chronic neck, shoulder and arm pain that comes from working at a computer. Dr. Zhaobo Li received his medical training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Sports Medicine in China. He completed a 5-year fellowship in neuromuscular diseases at The School of Medicine of the Johns Hopkins University in the United Sates. He has practiced acupuncture and sport medicine for 25 years and published 39 research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Li's approach to integrative health draws from TCM, but is grounded in modern medicine. With over a decade of practice in acupuncture and neuromuscular diseases, he has developed unique methods to treat various symptoms of chronic diseases.
