I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China and received my MD in 1993. I am a licensed Associate Chief Physician of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. During my 17 years of practice at the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is also the National Acupuncture Clinical Research Center of China. I participated in numerous research projects for treating stroke, paralysis, acute and chronic pain, dementia, prostatitis and insomnia with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

She is also an adjunct faculty in Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, teaching Master’s and Doctoral level courses. She currently holds hospital privileges at St Vincent’s Medical Center, Hartford Healthcare.
