“The restorative capacity of acupuncture makes it a valuable and effective element of recovery, health, and self-care. I believe that everyone has the capacity to enjoy a deep sense of ease and well-being. Chinese medicine offers excellent tools to help us restore balance in our bodies and minds, thus opening the door to our vitality. My style as a practitioner is gentle and precise. My work is continually inspired and informed by my passion for gardening and deep appreciation of the natural world. To me, tending the outer and tending the inner have a great deal in common.
Acupuncture is proven to be an effective complementary therapy for those undergoing medical treatment of cancer. I especially enjoy working with patients navigating the challenges of a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. I attended advanced training in cancer care for acupuncturists at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
I stay with my patients throughout their treatment time. Treatments may include massage, cupping, warming therapies, electro-acupuncture, herbal therapy, or guided relaxation techniques. I find that less is more, so I commonly use a small number of fine needles and I take care to not overload patients with supplements.”
