“I get immediate results with acupuncture. Even complex problems like depression and chronic migraines take only three or four treatments to resolve. The treatments work because I understand the energetics of the body and because I always take the emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects into account. Knowing how diseases move and mutate within the body to affect different functions and organs points the way to cure. Energy medicine, unlike conventional medicine, is not deterministic. It is an open system that allows for transformation. There are always alternative ways to understand and solve a problem. There are always possibilities for change.
Lok-Kwan was born and grew up in Hong Kong, in a culture where ideas of Chinese medicine imbue every aspect of daily living. The name 'Lok-Kwan' means "happily serving the people", a reminder that we are here to nourish each other as we discover ourselves.
Lok Kwan has practiced Qigong and Chinese martial arts since he was a teenager. In the nineties his tenure as secretary of the Midwest Buddhist Council enabled him to learn and practice meditation closely with monks from many traditions. He is also an accomplished teacher and practitioner of Oriental bodywork.”
