“I consider myself a "general practitioner" of Oriental Medicine, though I do have a special interest in dealing with women's health issues throughout the life cycle. I enjoy treating patients with a wide variety of issues from asthma, allergies and other autoimmune-related diseases, to digestive disorders, acute and chronic pain, anxiety, insomnia, and other stress-related illnesses. Having had prior careers in public health and health research management, I come from a Western scientific background and believe that using the best of both Western and Eastern medicine can often lead to better results in dealing with health problems.
Having entered this field as a result of experiencing its highly effective methods of treating gynecologic problems, I have a special interest in and desire to help women suffering from issues such as PMS, painful/irregular menstruation, infertility, chronic yeast infection, morning sickness or other pregnancy-related discomfort, and menopausal symptoms.
I frequently combine techniques such as Jin Shin Do acupressure, Zen Shiatsu massage, Taoist breathing techniques and Qi Gong with acupuncture treatment to create a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. I believe my role as a practitioner is to assist you in maximizing your own innate ability to heal.”
